Wingate by Wyndham Sylvania/Toledo is looking for experienced, responsible housekeepers to join our team. Weekdays & weekend help needed.
Housekeeping
Housekeeping Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain hotel and all guest rooms cleanliness while keeping up the Wyndham standards.
- Perform all daily job duties.
- Maintain scheduled preventative maintenance tasks in guest rooms, meeting and public spaces.
- Ensure high level of customer service is maintained at all time.
- Assist guest with all question and request, direct to appropriate department when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area (housekeeper cart Etc.).
- Willing to learn all areas of housekeeping (Laundry, room inspection, Public areas ).
- Work weekends and long hours on Sundays.
- Must be a Team Player.
- Perform any other reasonable job duties as requested by a Supervisors Others Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager/supervisor.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, and anticipate and address guests service needs.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Dependability, quality focus, customer service, customer focus, thoroughness, lifting, housekeeping, equipment maintenance, independence, listening, verbal communication.
- Experience preferred but not required.

Front Desk Sales (3-11 Shift) And Service Representative
Job Summary: The Wingate by Wyndham is seeking a Front Desk Sales Representative who is outgoing, professional and energetic to be the first person who greets our guests when they arrive at our hotel. This position is responsible for providing superior guest satisfaction while attending to guest needs such as check-in/check-outs, reservations, PBX and answering guest questions and needs. The ideal candidate will work easily in a fast-paced environment while maintaining an optimistic, "energy-giving" attitude to be the bright spot in our guest's day.
Other Key duties include:
- Process guest registrations, including collecting payment.
- Complete shift reports.
- Respond to guest needs, special requests and complaints and alert the appropriate manager as needed.
- Promote, answer questions about and enroll guests in Wyndham Rewards, Wyndham's frequent guest program.
- Assist other team members in various assignments including assist with breakfast, laundry or housekeeping duties.
- Maintain and clean the lobby and bathroom as needed.
Minimum Experience, Education, Skill & Physical Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be flexible in hours and days worked.
- Must be available for weekends and Holidays.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 25 - 50 lbs and carry up to 10 lbs.
- Must have sound judgment and discretional skills and be able to work with little or no supervision.
- Must be proficient in the use of common Windows-based computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must be able to operate basic office machines, i.e., copier, fax, printer, etc.
- Must display very good organization and time management skills.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities.
