Systems Programmer/Specialist
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking applications for a Systems Programmer/Specialist for the Office of OneIT. The Office of OneIT provides highly reliable information technology infrastructure, tools, and services to empower the University to achieve its academic, research, administrative, and service goals.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 3-5 years of relevant experience. Experience managing and maintaining a Windows server infrastructure environment. Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services. Experience using advanced PowerShell in an enterprise environment.
Essential Job Duties: The primary role of a Systems Programmer/Specialist on the OneIT Servers and Storage Team is to configure, monitor, maintain and troubleshoot issues related to Windows Server operating systems.
- Managing and maintaining a Windows Server infrastructure.
- Designing, implementing, and managing a multi-site Active Directory environment.
- Managing and maintaining systems using advanced PowerShell scripting.
- Designing, implementing, and managing Group Policy.
- An understanding of security best practices.
- Assist with management of multiple on-prem data centers.
