The College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security and Cybersecurity at the University at Albany is seeking applicants for multiple Senior Staff Assistant/Administrative Manager positions. The main objective for the Senior Staff Assistant/Administrative Manager is to provide for all necessary administrative support and services to assist each of CEHC’s three new departments, ensuring respective faculty’s greatest effectiveness in their primary roles as teachers and researchers. The Administrative Manager carries out administrative activities of the Department in such a way as to facilitate relationships between the Chair and the faculty, between staff and students, between the Department and University offices, and between the Department and agencies outside the University. The position will also serve as a conduit between the College’s Dean office and Departments, as well as between the College and other units throughout the University.

Qualifications
Required
- BS/BA from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization in education, library science or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience working in an administrative capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to professionally and effectively communicate (written and verbal). Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access.
- Applicants must address in their application their ability to work with culturally diverse populations.
Recommended
- MS/MA from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization in education, library science or related field.
- Experience working within a university setting
