The Center for Rural Development (The Center), located in Somerset, Kentucky, invites applications for the position of Director of Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium (RDPC). The RDPC programs are actively involved in training for the Nation’s rural emergency responders and outreach services focused primarily on rural and tribal agencies throughout the United States.
The primary responsibility of the Director of RDPC is to manage, and oversee coordination of RDPC in conjunction with RDPC academic partners. The goals, objectives and deliverables of this position are defined by the President & CEO, by the mission of the program and through communication with the sponsoring agencies for the program.
The Position is responsible to establish a national network, build relationships with professional counterparts through organizational initiatives and jointly sponsored communication campaigns and programs. The Director oversees the development and deployment of RDPC programs/systems and must work collaboratively with the Marketing Department to promote The Center’s initiatives in this area.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, budgets, oversight of departmental staff involvement internally and externally, and assurance of departmental compliance with the requirement of both The Center and all RDPC programs.
