The Housekeeper keeps working areas in production departments of industrial establishment in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Cleans and sanitizes rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
- Dusts furniture and equipment.
- Polishes metalwork.
- Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
- Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Use various and proper cleaning techniques to complete daily, weekly, and long term duties.
- Cleans and maintains all flooring by sweeping, moping, waxing, buffing, etc.
- Removes and replaces trash liners. Washes trash receptacles and ashtrays.
- Keep all chemicals in assigned areas with proper labels. (MSDS)
- Maintains and sanitizes entire restrooms.
- Ability to clean and care for all assigned equipment.
- Arranges furniture and equipment when required.
- Clean up emergency accidents.
- Notifies management of conditions requiring maintenance.
- Keeps stock of cleaning materials and equipment needed to complete their duties.
- Informs management when supplies are in need of replacement or equipment is in need of repair.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class “B” Gaming License issued by the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission.
