Position Summary |
Under the direction of management, the Director of Major Gifts develops, plans, implements, and evaluates aspects of fundraising, including principal gifts, major gifts, planned gifts, corporate and foundation relations, volunteer management, and Board activity. The position works closely with the College leadership and Foundation Board to identify and develop funding priorities and establish annual targets and metrics to ensure strategic goals are met and successful fundraising campaigns achieved. The incumbent actively manages a major and principal gift portfolio and implements strategic direction to ensure goals are met. Additionally, the Director of Major gifts participates on the Foundation leadership team to advance the Foundation's strategic plan and vision. The position supervises administrative services professionals, technical/support and/or classified staff. Candidate Profile |
These qualifications, skills and abilities are critical for success in this position. · Demonstrated skill in frontline fundraising and moves management with the ability to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward major gift prospects ($25,000+). · Collaborative team leader who leverages staff capabilities and strengths to advance major gift work with individuals, corporations and foundations. · Provides integral support and oversight in the creation of the Foundation’s strategic philanthropic framework and development of fundraising priorities, working closely with Foundation Board of Directors and College leadership. · Ability to collaborate with external and internal partners, including staff, from diverse communities with respect and attention to belonging, justice, equity, diversity and inclusion. · Together with the Foundation Management Team, advances operational growth and success, with a focus on professional development and team culture. Minimum Qualifications To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked). · Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Education, Communications or related field. Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience related to fundraising, building donor relations, and campaign planning, including two (2) years of supervisory experience. · OR Bachelor’s Degree in any field AND seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience related to fundraising, building donor relations, and campaign planning, including two (2) years of supervisory experience. · OR nine (9) years of progressively responsible experience related to fundraising, building donor relations, and campaign planning, including two (2) years of supervisory experience. |

Minimum $82,293 to range midpoint of $100,808. Placement will generally not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. |

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements |
Work environment includes frequent disruptions and changes in priorities. Work is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. Working hours may vary and some evening or weekend work is required. In-district travel to other locations is required and possession of a current driver’s license. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily. |
