We are accepting applications for a full-time position as Director, Counseling & Health Services.
Responsibilities: The Director, Counseling and Health Services is the chief executive officer for the Caudill Health Clinic and Counseling Clinic, which provides counseling and healthcare services to the university's students. This position provides leadership and management to a multidisciplinary clinic consisting of 4 mental health counselors, 2 nurse practitioners, 2 registered nurses, and 2 administrative staff. The Director is responsible for all aspects of the clinic's function, including quality and scope of patient care, clinic staffing and supervision, budget planning and management, and serves as a licensed healthcare practitioner. The Director is responsible for the treatment of patients in a diligent, knowledgeable and skillful manner in accordance with currently acceptable standards of practice in his/her professional specialty, applicable KY state and federal laws, and regulations.
Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse, Doctor of Medicine, or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Program with requisite licensure and certification to supervise mental health counseling and healthcare services. A minimum of five years full time clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, MD, or OD. This position requires at least three years of full time experience in supervising employees. Current RN license and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license by Kentucky Board of Nursing with National Certification as a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner or licensed by the KMA for medical practice in KY. This position requires the incumbent to be self-motivated, detail oriented, adhere to high standard of accuracy and be able to set direction and work independently; to demonstrate excellent written, oral communication, and exemplary interpersonal/customer skills. Must be proficient in training others with computer application, clinical practice and compliance, utilization of electronic medical records
Desired Qualifications: Doctorate in Nurse Practice, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Public Health, or related field of medical degree. Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner qualified (or equivalent). Experience working with college age students.
