We are accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track position as Assistant Professor, Imaging Sciences in the Department of Kinesiology, Health and Imaging Sciences.
Responsibilities: Teaches courses in imaging sciences with emphasis in radiography; supervises laboratory learning experiences; provides clinical instruction (involves travel to off-campus clinical education settings); recruits and advises students; participates in on-going curriculum evaluation and development; participates in service activities to enhance the department and university; and participates in research and scholarly productivity.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Radiologic/Sciences or related field as recognized by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Exceptions will be those non-doctoral degrees considered to be terminal degrees by discipline-specific accrediting bodies recognized by the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation (CORPA). Documentation of the equivalence of two years, full-time clinical experience required. Must be credentialed in radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and be eligible to practice in the state of Kentucky by the position start date.
Desired Qualifications: Advanced imaging certification(s) from ARRT or ARDMS. Experience preferred in didactic teaching in a higher education environment, clinical and/or online instruction, research in imaging sciences, and participation in educational program accreditation.
