Public Service Worker Sr (Streets and Roads)
SALARY
The minimum salary is $16.342 per hour
This position is eligible for overtime (non-exempt), if applicable.
Pay Grade 510
This position is eligible for Hazardous Duty Supplemental Pay ($90/month, $0.52c/hour) and CDL pay ($1.08/hour) once obtained within the required first six (6) months of employment.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to perform manual labor in relation to the general maintenance and repairs of LFUCG property such as facilities, equipment, grounds and city roads; and lead or oversee a small work crew as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Two (2) years of related experience
- Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides grounds maintenance in all seasons
- Operates light trucks and assorted power equipment
- Performs routine cleaning and maintenance on gardening and grounds equipment
- Performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, digging, and moving materials
- Cleans, maintains, services, and conducts minor repairs on buildings, facilities and equipment
- Assists with any other manual labor tasks as needed
- Leads or oversees a small work crew as needed
- Performs related work as assigned
SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Valid Driver's License upon hire and will be required to obtain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B within the first six (6) months of employment and maintain the CDL as a condition of continued employment
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- All positions require drug testing and background check before employment and may require a post job offer physical as stated in Ordinances 21-14(b), 22-13 and 23-16.
- Must be accessible for on-call duty and be able to work weekends and holidays as assigned and during emergencies.
- Positions are required to perform snow removal duties during weather emergencies
EXAMINATION
Examination will be a training and experience evaluation from information provided on the application at filing deadline date.
