The purpose of this position is to manage the Parents and Guardians Empowerment (P.A.G.E) program and Gainesway Community Center for high risk youth and families. This position will plan, organize, and control the operations within the program including the assignment of employees, case management, and therapeutic group activities while adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Master's degree in social work, family studies, psychology, counseling, or a related field; and, a minimum of four (4) years of case management experience with at least two (2) years in a management or leadership role; or, and equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Valid Driver's License.
First Aid and CPR Certifications must be obtained within first six (6) months of employment and maintained as a condition of continued employment.
Plans, directs, and supervises subordinates in order to promote efficiency and productivity in various programs and assignments.
Establishes objectives and evaluates accomplishments of programs.
Interprets, communicates, and ensure compliance with various policies and procedure.
Handles personnel issues including hiring and dismissals, coaching, time off approvals, etc.
Plans, conducts, and attends meeting with staff or outside parties to provide information or answer questions regarding programs.
Ensures adherence to budgeting.
Performs related work as assigned.

- Individuals recommended for employment will be required to submit to a background check and drug screening. In addition, the Divisions of Family Services and Youth Services will require individuals recommended for employment to submit to a Child Abuse and Neglect Registry (CAN) check. Individuals should be of sobriety and integrity, orderly and law abiding citizens and inasmuch as some employees will be working with minors, those individuals who haves offenses or incidents with minors will not be considered for employment.
Must be able to operate Urban County Government equipment and vehicles in a safe, prudent, and responsible manner.
Examination will be a training and experience evaluation from information provided on the application at the filing deadline date.
