PeopleSoft Technical Architect - Remote (Division of Enterprise Solutions)
SALARY
This position is not eligible for overtime (exempt); however, the city has a compensatory time leave program for employees that grants leave time for hours worked in excess of forty hours.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to plan, coordinate, and manage processes and components related to the life cycle of enterprise IT systems.
This position directs PeopleSoft projects and vendors to reduce risk and business impact from hardware failure, network outages, and natural disasters; builds and manages policies and security controls to minimize threats to confidentiality, integrity, and availability of PeopleSoft systems; and, maintains environment management plans for the Financial and Human Resources systems which includes: hardware, resources, connectivity, software versions, and software levels for all environments.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to the job
- Six (6) years of related experience
- Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience
- Additional years of related experience may substitute for years of education
Experience working with Oracle/PeopleSoft ERP is highly preferred but not required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage ERP projects and tasks requiring resources and coordination among staff between multiple divisions and Enterprise Solutions
- Directs ERP projects and vendors to reduce risks and business impact from hardware failure, network outages, power outages and natural disasters
- Builds and maintains the environment management plan for the Financial and Human Resources ERP systems which includes: hardware, resources, connectivity, software versions, and software levels for all environments
- Builds and manages policies and security controls to minimize threats to confidentiality, integrity and availability of enterprise systems
- Manages/implements various ERP initiatives and projects such as reviewing ERP environment resource usage on hosted solutions, consulting on RFP and vendor contracts, and assisting with budget planning for ERP software implementations
- Plans yearly testing of ERP systems or facilities; coordinates test objectives, test dates, table-top exercises, checklists and travel logistics
- Performs related work as assigned
