Automotive/Building Maintenance Technician
Experienced maintenance technician needed to coordinate and/or perform plumbing; mechanical; electrical; heating; cooling maintenance; preventive maintenance and/or repairs for equipment in the buildings and vehicles; and professional cleaning for all vehicles. This position checks recycling and biohazardous waste containers and transfers and/or disposes of product as needed; makes deliveries and pick-ups; drives buses to scheduled service appointments; performs daily walk around check of building, grounds and vehicles; works with contractors to ensure scheduled inspections are completed; teaches Drivers Training course for new drivers, as needed; and travels to outlying centers routinely to perform inspections and/or repairs. This position will also troubleshoot and diagnose vehicle breakdowns; maintain inventory of supplies/fluids for vehicles; retrieve/deliver buses; and will be a backup to the Facilities and Fleet Supervisor as needed.
This position requires a working knowledge of MS Word/Excel; ability to transport, lift, and move up to 50 pounds at variable distances; a good driving record; a valid Kentucky drivers license (CDL required within 6 months of hire date, will provide CDL training if needed); good communication skills; basic “handyperson” aptitude, i.e., mechanical, electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling/auto repair; working knowledge of automotive maintenance and repairs; and housekeeping awareness.
Monday - Friday, full-time, some on-call required.
HS diploma/GED required. Proof of education/certifications required during the interview process.
