Community Action Council for Lexington-Fayette, Bourbon, Harrison and Nicholas Counties is currently accepting applications for the position of Food Service Worker. The position is responsible for food service provision of Head Start, Early Head Start and child care centers. This position assures, participates, and arranges daily preparation and transportation of the food to the centers. Participates, assures, and arranges for the maintenance of food preparation, storage areas, and equipment in a safe and sanitary manner that also complies with the Health Department, Head Start and licensing requirements. Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. is required. Two (2) years of experience in quantity food preparation with a special emphasis on food service for children is required. Food handler’s permit required. Demonstrated knowledge of sound nutritional principles, CACFP guidelines, and operational functions are preferred.
Salary:
