Full-time position available with KCMO’s Human Relations Department, Contract Compliance Division, 414 E. 12th St. Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monitors City funded projects to ensure compliance with the Missouri Prevailing Wage Law, the Davis Bacon/Related Acts, Section 3 regulations, other laws, legislation and ordinances. Monitors projects to include making an assessment of the type of work performed to ensure that the correct Classification/Occupational Title was adhered to. Ensures compliance with the required overtime and holiday rates. Performs daily/weekly site visits. Processes various documents and visual media evidence. Meets with contractors, attorneys, workers and complainants. Interviews workers. Prepares reports, correspondence letters, workers computations, as well as reviews/analyzes contracts, fringe benefit plans, pension statements, contractor payroll data, certified payrolls, worker logs/diaries, foreman logs/diaries, inspector logs/diaries and other contractual documentation. Calculates worker restitution, statutory penalties and City contractual prevailing wage liquidated damages. Performs extensive field work in a variety of temperatures, maneuverability on an array of construction sites and an ability to interact/relate to a diverse group of clientele. REQUIRES an accredited Master's degree in public or business administration, urban or regional planning, economics, accounting, finance or a related field; OR an accredited Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, urban or regional planning, economics, accounting, finance or a related field and 1 year of professional experience in public or business administration, corporate or municipal finance, budget, research, accounting or a related field.
