Director of Public Services and Utility Operations
The Directory of Public Services plans, organizes, directs, manages all activities and programs of the Public Services and Utility Operations Department through the application of administrative, management, and professional knowledge and skills in the design, development, review and coordination of city operations and maintenance. Department consists of Water Production (Plant) Division, Wastewater Treatment Plant Division, Water Distribution/Meter Services Division, Wastewater Collections Division, Fleet Maintenance/Solid Waste Division, and Streets Division. Qualified applicants should be highly motivated with an expectation of achieving excellence and have a thorough understanding of Kentucky’s city commission/city manager form of government with appropriate experience and credentials.
The minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering or related degree; Ten (10) years’ management experience; Seven (7) years’ experience in public works, utility management/operations, engineering or related area. Masters degree preferred, but not required. Must possess and maintain a valid Kentucky drivers’ license. Salary range: $84,238 – $138,992.
