ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS FOR CAMPUS VISITS
The Assistant Director of Admissions for Campus Visits plays a crucial role in shaping the campus visit experience for prospective students and their families. This position is responsible for developing and overseeing all aspects of on-campus and virtual visit programs, ensuring an engaging, informative, and seamless experience that reflects the values and strengths of the institution.
The Assistant Director manages the campus visit team, including student ambassadors and support staff, and collaborates with various campus departments to coordinate tours, information sessions, and special admissions events. They analyze visitor data and feedback to continuously enhance the campus visit experience and strategically align visit programs with enrollment goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Though not exhaustive, the essential responsibilities of the Assistant Director include the following:
- Develop and oversee all aspects of daily campus visits, group visits, and special admissions events.
- Coordinate and implement large-scale programs such as Open Houses, Accepted Student Days, and Personalized Visit Experiences.
- Ensure a seamless and high-quality experience for all visitors, from scheduling to follow-up communication.
- Collaborate with faculty, student life, and other departments to create engaging presentations and activities that highlight the Bridgewater College experience.
- Recruit, train, and supervise student ambassadors who serve as campus tour guides and admissions representatives.
- Develop leadership opportunities and ongoing professional development for student ambassadors to enhance their effectiveness.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that reflects the college’s commitment to diversity and belonging.
- Analyze visit data and feedback to assess effectiveness and continuously improve visit programs.
- Implement innovative strategies to enhance the campus visit experience and increase student engagement.
- Work closely with admissions counselors to align visit experiences with recruitment goals and yield strategies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with high schools, community organizations, and external partners to encourage group visits.
- Manage the scheduling and registration process for campus visits using the college’s CRM system (Slate).
- Work with the marketing team to create visit-related promotional materials, digital content, and social media outreach.
- Maintain accurate records of campus visitors and track engagement to support data-driven decision-making.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in English/Communications or a related field required.
- 2 or more years of experience in admissions or a related field preferred.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment required.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to focus on details required.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically required.
- Provide quality customer service to a variety of people from different backgrounds required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and social media; experience with CRM software required.
Pay is competitive, and salary is commensurate with experience. This full-time position offers a full benefits package, including paid tuition at the College for eligible dependents.
