Systems Programmer and Integration Analyst
Job summary
The Systems Programmer and Integration Analyst position is expected to work collaboratively with senior team members to design, develop, and deploy web-based intranet and portal systems that improve the efficiency of College operations. This position, in conjunction with senior team members, will collaborate with end users and vendors in defining, developing, documenting, and deploying systems that securely integrate with existing systems and infrastructure. This position will maintain a high level of technical currency in analysis, design, programming and implementation of College-wide systems and will remain flexible and adaptable in regards to learning, understanding, and utilizing new technologies.
Education required to ensure success in this position:
· Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience required to ensure success in this position:
· One to three years’ experience developing web-based interactive applications.
· Experience installing, configuring and managing web servers.
· Experience with Single Sign-on installation, configuration and application integration.
· Experience with data storage and retrieval
Experience preferred to ensure success in this position:
· Experience with Docker and containers.
· Experience installing, configuring and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers.
· Experience managing SQL Server and mySQL database servers.
· Experience managing SSL certificates.
· Experience managing Windows servers.
· Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues.
· Experience with Shibboleth, CAS and SAML
Special skills, knowledge and abilities:
· SQL, SQL Server, mySQL, Java, Oracle, UNIX, Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) ASP.Net, Shibboleth, CAS, Ansible, Docker, OpenSSL, Keytool
License, certification, or registration necessary:
· Valid driver’s license
· Required background checks
Physical requirements:
· Ability to navigate campus/public buildings and grounds
· Ability to travel independently by car and/or plane
· Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
Environmental conditions:
· Professional office environment with interruptions and noise due to frequent visitors, students, staff and faculty
· Occasional travel required for meetings, conferences, etc.
Ability to operate the following vehicles or equipment:
· Standard office equipment: computer, fax, phone, etc.
· Vehicle – college vans/cars
Primary duties and responsibilities:

· Deploy utilities that strengthen site versatility.
· Develop Intranet applications to serve particular interests of the College.
· Develop full-featured portal software that provides common authentication and draws from various institutional data sources.
· Develop web infrastructure that supports data entry, data extraction, and overall site management.
· Manage and lead selected projects, effectively communicate priorities, monitor service delivery
· Provide analysis and make recommendations to management in areas that require a high level of technical competency as well as in depth understanding of enterprise-wide impacts.
· Develop and maintain Single Sign-on infrastructure and capabilities.
Other roles/duties will be assigned as necessary to assist the College in the attainment of the goals set forth and the enhancement of a positive, respectful learning environment for all staff, faculty and students.
