Data Analyst
Job Summary
This is a key position within the Organizational Results and Data team of Partners for Education. Working with stakeholders, such as, PFE program leadership teams, the data analyst will provide technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of data; analyze using statistical techniques; design and present it in ways to assist stakeholders to achieve continuous improvement; and guide future planning. The data analyst will continuously identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. They will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that data, reporting and analysis needs are anticipated and met, including but not limited to longitudinal studies, forecasting, setting of baselines, gap analysis and cost benefit analysis. Training PFE staff in basic data literacy topics, and operational data management workflow processes, to ensure data competency and data integrity are also expected.
Education required to ensure success in this position:
· Bachelor’s Degree, required
Experience required to ensure success in this position:
· Three years’ experience working with data analysis, aggregation, dissemination and reporting
Special skills, knowledge and abilities:
· Demonstrated knowledge and skills regarding technology and statistical analysis
· Knowledge of database operations and management
· Ability to maintain confidentiality
· Demonstrated analytical skills
· Extensive experience with Microsoft Office
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
· Clear written and oral communication skills
License, certification, or registration necessary:
· Valid Driver’s License
· Background check, including social media check
Physical requirements:
· Ability to work in a high energy office
· Ability to navigate campus and public buildings/grounds
· Ability to travel by car and plane to eastern Kentucky, statewide sites and nationally
· Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
· Strong verbal presentation skills
Environmental conditions:
· Work primarily in Middletown Office
· Professional office environment with interruptions and noise due to frequent visitors, students, staff, faculty and callers
Ability to operate the following vehicles or equipment:
· Standard office equipment – computer, telephone, fax machine
· Motor vehicle – College cars/vans
Primary duties and responsibilities:

· Provide data support and analysis for continuous improvement and reporting to an assigned portfolio of programs
· Use data analysis to generate quantitative/qualitative reports, using visualization tool techniques
· Assist in interpretation and dissemination of data to inform development, delivery and continuous improvement of grant services
· Continuously review data to identify, analyze and assist in the interpretation of trends or patterns
· Ensure integrity of data by verifying data quality and accuracy
· Conduct gap analysis using principles of Results Based Accountability
· Maintain updated need-based data for current team programs and programmatic ad hoc requests
· Anticipate data needs of programs and ensure that needs are adequately met
· Conduct ongoing data, data source, and evaluation process audits
· Adhere to FERPA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and privacy of sensitive data
· Provide literacy and database operations training to staff
