Founded in 1924, Baptist Health is a full-spectrum health system dedicated to improving the health of the communities it services. The Baptist Health family includes eight owned hospitals, with more than 2,400 licensed beds in Corbin, La Grange, Lexington, Louisville, Madisonville, Paducah and Richmond, Kentucky, and one in Floyd County, Indiana. The Baptist system also includes one managed hospital, Hardin Memorial Health, a 300-bed hospital in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
In addition to our hospitals and physician practices, the system includes more than 300 outpatient facilities, urgent care and retail-based clinics; outpatient diagnostic and surgery centers; home care; occupational medicine and physical therapy clinics; and fitness centers. Our population health service organization, Baptist Health Community Care, supports Baptist Health’s population health strategies, value-based care business and wellness initiatives, including a Medicare accountable care organization, a systemwide clinically integrated physician network, care advising programs, the system’s wellness initiatives, and our insurance arm, Baptist Health Plan.
Baptist Health was built on a faith-based foundation, and Baptist Health Medical Group continues that tradition by supporting the same Mission, Vision and Faith-Based Values and our own Patient Creed, promising to treat each patient the way we would want to be treated, every time, at every Baptist Health location.
Our Mission
Baptist Health demonstrates the love of Christ by providing and coordinating care and improving health in our communities.
