Job Description

An education technology company in Virginia is actively seeking a new Business Analyst to join their growing Technology team in a Remote capacity. In this role, the Business Analyst (Remote) will be responsible for performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and presenting findings.

Responsibilities:
The Business Analyst (Remote) will:

Develop, document and champion multi-year operational process management & optimization strategy and contribute to multi-year architecture roadmaps
Provide subject matter expertise to the various technology teams
Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop & implement solutions
Identify core common information shared across the enterprise and participate in enterprise wide efforts to reach common understanding of that information
Capture the relationships among roles, capabilities, processes and business units, the decomposition of those business units into subunits, and the internal or external management of those units with use of workflows and other documentation
Capture the tactical and strategic enterprise goals that provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance for the achievement of the target architectures
Serve as an expert to define and maintain the architectural frameworks / patterns, processes, standards, and guidelines related to systems, business or data architecture
Develop process guidelines, standards and hierarchies as well as maintain process repositories
Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

5+ years of Business Analysis and/or related experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or a related field
Computer savvy
Microsoft Office Suite proficient (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
Solid analytical, documentation and problem solving skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
