Job Summary:

The primary purpose of the Behavior Professional is to provide leadership to our Positive Supports department focused on delivering person-centered behavioral care to adults with Developmental Disabilities, Mental Illness, and/or Chemical Dependency in the client’s home.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite instructional learning to staff and caregivers about the use of positive supports
• Train and supervise waiver positive support analysts and waiver positive support specialists
• Complete individualized functional behavior assessments
• Work with the person to develop a person-centered, positive-practice, individualized behavior support plan and/or positive support transition plan that identifies specific, proactive and reactive intervention strategies, if necessary
• Distribute the plan(s) to the person and his/her team members
• Evaluate effectiveness of the service and interventions
• Modify the plan(s) as necessary
• Monitoring and recording treatment progress
• Supporting clients throughout the treatment process
• Maintaining patient records and treatment reports
• Collaborating with other healthcare specialists and support organizations
• Experience with functional assessments desired

Job Qualifications:

-Must hold at least one of the following licenses or criteria:

• Master's degree in one of the behavioral sciences with demonstrated expertise in behavioral support- Examples are master's degrees in psychology, public health, behavioral sciences, sociology, and other masters degrees with demonstrated experience in mental or behavioral health 
• BCBA-a, MSW, LGSW, LMFT
