Technical Inside Sales Representative (CNC Machining)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Inside Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As a Technical Inside Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving sales, building relationships with clients, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement:
- Work directly with end users and distributors to achieve product sales goals.
- Provide technical service to identify customer needs, define problems, and recommend solutions while providing service after the sale.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Engineering team to provide the best solutions suited to customer needs.
- Product Knowledge:
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of our CNC machining products and services.
- Educate customers on the features, benefits, and applications of our offerings.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers during the sales process.
- Sales Process:
- Handle inbound inquiries from potential customers via phone, email, and fax.
- Qualify leads and assess customer requirements.
- Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and presentations.
- Relationship Building:
- Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Maintain regular communication with customers to address their needs and concerns.
- Market Research:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and market developments.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in Technical sales, preferably in mechanical, operations, or engineering sales.
- Experience developing new accounts and expanding existing ones.
- Familiarity with CNC machining processes and equipment.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence in dealing with customers and prospective customers.
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Basic blueprints reading and an understanding of specifications and tolerances.
- Proficient in MS office, including word, excel and ERP systems
- Familiarity with CNC, CAD/CAM software, and measurement control software preferred.
