Manages: N/A

Status: Part-time (25 hours/week); Non-exempt

Location: Gulfton Area of Houston, TX

Starting Salary: $26.65-$27.50


Job Summary: We are looking for a CHAT Program Coordinator for Mid-America Arts Alliance's division Culture of Health-Advancing Together (CHAT). CHAT is dedicated to addressing health disparities and supporting immigrant and refugee communities. You will play an important role in the planning and managing the diverse programs within our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating project activities, collaborating with our teams, and ensuring that programs align with organizational goals.


You Will:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of programs, including School and Community health education workshops, community outreach events, and advocacy campaigns.
  • Support in developing the program plans and timelines, ensuring adherence to goals.
  • Coordinate with program staff, interns, and volunteers to facilitate program delivery, monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Collaborate with community partners, government agencies, and other partners to enhance program effectiveness and reach.
  • Maintain data related to program activities including participant demographics, attendance records, and outcomes.
  • Prepare regular reports on program performance, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting deadlines.
Requirements:

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant professional experience in public health, social work, nonprofit management, or a related field..
  • 3+ years of experience in program management, office administration, or related roles in the nonprofit sector.
  • Experience with a diverse population.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve identified outcomes.

Working Conditions:

Most work is sedentary, sitting at a desk using a computer, phone, and other office equipment. You will travel occasionally to deliver CHAT programming or attend conferences and convenings relevant to the field. You should be able to adapt to changing priorities and additional projects with short-term deadlines. You may work some weekends. This is an in-person position.
