We're seeking a partner with a specialty area of focus in sync licensing who will be focused on growing new business in untapped markets, not limited by territories. The Creative Partnerships Director role is responsible for driving revenue, meeting sales goals and building client relationships at the highest level. You will represent Marmoset's licensing catalog and service capabilities to the key decision-makers for music in multiple verticals or markets, helping build momentum in new areas for Marmoset. The ideal candidate is established and experienced in music licensing sales and partnership development. You have a proven, verifiable track record of success; familiarity with big licensing deals, blanket (bulk) deals, subscriptions models and long-term sync agreements. This is a distributed (remote) role. The ideal candidate will live near the center of their market/territory of specialization.

You

Basics: You have a deep network of connections in a specific vertical, such as Video Games, TV, Film, Tech, Fitness, etc; or territory, such as Europe or Asia. You're a people person, results-driven, passionate about researching and finding new opportunities, while always growing long term relationships. You are motivated by goals and achievement, and are the ultimate team player.

Personality: People describe you as warm, outgoing, and fun to be around. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy growing a business. You're a team player and prefer collaboration, teamwork, and elevating others to achieve results. You embrace a team-first mindset.

Abilities: Highly skilled at sales, leading sales meetings, managing client projects, managing KPIs and goals, business travel. Open, flexible, assertive communication style. You're able to manage a fast paced, sometimes intense day-to-day, with occasional high volume seasons, while also able to self-motivate and stay hungry during slow seasons.

Experience: Minimum 4-5 years experience in Sales, Business Development, Account Manager or a similar role in sync, music licensing or publishing. Managed key accounts and high-priority relationships in a previous sync or publishing-focused role. Experienced in Salesforce, CRMs or similar apps. Lead generation experience is a must.

Passion + Purpose: You're tired of being a cog in a machine. You're searching for a deeper meaning in your career and want to be where your work actually matters and makes a tangible difference in the world. You get joy from being part of a team and working alongside exceptional people, toward common goals. You want to be part of a fun, purpose-driven org that cares deeply about people, community and impact.

Remote work: This role is remote, regularly traveling to connect with clients in your territory/vertical, and occasionally to Marmoset HQ in Portland, OR.

Pay: Base salary + performance incentives. DOE
