Call Dispatcher/Call Operator position for US Army at Ft. Campbell. KY

Title: Call Dispatcher/Call Operator

Location: Fort Campbell, KY 42223

Duration: Long Term

Experience in answering all incoming calls and connects callers with the correct extension.

1. Answer 9-1-1 and non-emergency phone calls from the public and dispatch appropriate law enforcement, fire or EMS units
2. Ability to hear and understand multiple sound sources
3. Able to handle multiple tasks to receive and communicate information to and from several sources ensuring calls for service are dispatched and monitored in a timely manner
4. Work under stressful conditions and react appropriately using good judgment
5. Availability to work shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
6. Willingness to maintain respectful working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public
7. Possess a clear and understandable radio and telephone voice
8. Experience in taking and relaying messages in an accurate and timely manner.
9. Experience in responding to emergency and urgent calls.
10. Experience in triaging calls; connecting and transferring calls; setting up conference calls; instructing users on telephone procedures; and reporting telephone and equipment malfunctions to the appropriate party.
11. Provides a pleasant and helpful phone contact for callers.
