Position Summary

Provide team leadership and promote a culture of safety, team work, collaboration, and efficient resource utilization to complete projects on time, under budget and within the project quality standards and requirements. Work with project team members and project support groups that may include Engineering & Design, Operations, Asset Management, Procurement, Construction, Siting, Regulatory, Outreach, Business and Commercial Services, and Administrative Service groups to successfully complete projects. Project Management duties will be performed in accordance with the Client's PM program. Mentor and coach other Project Managers with less experience. Provide leadership in seeking business opportunities with new or existing clients.

Responsibilities

These may include but would not be limited to the following:

  • In accordance with the Client's Project Management process, prepare and/or update financial forecasts, project schedules, and other necessary reports on a weekly or monthly basis, or as required;
  • Lead project meetings, take meeting minutes and distribute to all project team members;
  • Promptly respond to project inquiries from client management or support teams as necessary;
  • Notify project stakeholder immediately in the event that the project is forecast to exceed approved budget or schedule or if significant project issues have been identified;
  • Perform project administrative activities including purchase and change orders, work status verification, processing of unvouchered liabilities, invoice reviews and updating overall project status;
  • Coordinate design development, drawing submittals and review;
  • Resolve emergent field issues;
  • Track and manage project compliance (non-regulatory and regulatory);
  • Support resolution of any siting/permitting, municipality, and/or abutter issues;
  • Facilitate contractor sourcing activities including issuing RFP's, bid analysis, and award recommendations;
  • Lead and/or perform project close-out activities;
  • Develop and pursue business opportunities with existing clients or new potential customers. Assist ENE Management team with development of proposals for new business opportunities;
  • Manage client relationships to ensure all expectations are understood and met. Work with ENE management team as necessary to ensure the maintenance of positive client relationships, including the resolution of any client concerns.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university;
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience managing projects in electric utilities, preferably in distribution and/or substation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Experience with software commonly used in the utility industry and/or ability to learn required client system software;
  • Comfortable and effective working independently, as well as leading and working in teams across functional groups and with multi-levels of the organization;
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and organizational skills;
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Excellent negotiation and consensus-building skills;
  • Experience with project management process;
  • Project Management certification (desired).
