Job Title: Neighborhood Canvasser

Job Summary: As a Neighborhood Canvasser, you will be responsible for engaging with residents within designated neighborhoods to disseminate information, promote services, or advocate for causes on behalf of SOS Roofing. You will conduct door-to-door outreach, distribute literature, and engage in direct conversations with community members to achieve specific objectives outlined by SOS Roofing. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Door-to-Door Outreach: Conduct systematic visits to homes within assigned neighborhoods to communicate the message, goals, or services of SOS Roofing.

2. Engagement and Communication: Initiate conversations with residents in a friendly and approachable manner, effectively communicating the purpose of your visit and addressing any inquiries they may have.

3. Information Dissemination: Distribute informational materials, flyers, brochures, or any other relevant literature provided by SOS Roofing to households in the target area.

4. Data Collection: Record relevant information obtained during interactions with residents, including feedback, concerns, or demographic data, as required by SOS Roofing for reporting and analysis purposes.

5. Promotion and Advocacy: Advocate for the organization's initiatives, services, or campaigns, persuading residents to support or participate in activities aligned with SOS Roofing's goals.

6. Feedback Gathering: Solicit feedback from residents regarding their needs, opinions, or preferences, and relay this information to the organization to inform decision-making processes.

7. Community Relations: Build rapport and maintain positive relationships with community members, fostering trust and goodwill on behalf of the organization.

8. Adherence to Guidelines: Follow prescribed guidelines and protocols provided by the organization, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements during all interactions.

9. Reporting: Provide regular reports to supervisors or management, detailing progress, challenges encountered, and outcomes achieved during neighborhood canvassing activities.

• Basic proficiency in data collection and reporting.

• Knowledge of the local community and its demographics (preferred).
• Previous experience in community outreach, sales, or customer service roles (preferred).

Working Conditions:

• Fieldwork: Majority of the job involves outdoor activities, walking door-to-door within designated neighborhoods.
• Flexible Schedule: May require working evenings or weekends to accommodate residents' availability.
• Variable Weather: Must be prepared to work in various weather conditions.
• Travel: Possibility of traveling within the assigned area or to different locations for training or meetings.
