General Manager FlannelJax's Grand Rapids

This is a key leadership role that will manage all operations in a FlannelJax’s (FJS) corporate location. This job requires an individual that knows how to balance hard work with fun and leadership that inspires staff to feel like family and exemplifies how to treat guests like lifelong friends. The General Manager is responsible for staffing, training, and managing the operations at the designated locations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead a team of customer focused, outgoing and fun individuals
• Execute and direct operational excellence
• Provide business analysis and continuous coaching to employees
• Execute the development and implementation of on-going operational support programs of the FJS business system to efficiently and effectively operate the FJS location
• Provide meaningful business solutions to challenges or issues from FJS retail customer
• Maintain all controllable expenses within established budgetary guidelines
• Drive sales through the professional development of sales associates, focusing on coaching, training, and role modeling acceptable selling practices
• Promote and role model superior customer service to all customers and ensure that all employees at all locations understand and support the pursuit of superior service
• Establish and maintain appropriate security procedures including computer cash register and open/close procedure
• Prepare daily bank deposits and perform daily/weekly bookkeeping tasks
• Ensuring FJS location synonymous to Extreme, Social, & FUN at all times
• Provide operational leadership aligned with the corporate vision
• Other duties as assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience
• 3 or more years’ experience in a retail, hospitality and/or recreational/entertainment company with experience hiring, leading, and coaching team
• 3 or more years of general management, operations, and leadership experience with extensive supervision skills
• A solid foundation in training best practices
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work evenings and weekends
• Willingness and ability to adapt and thrive in a hardworking, rapidly growing, aggressive and dynamic company culture
• Must be computer and tech savvy
• Able to pass a criminal background check
• Safety conscious with a strong attention to detail
