We are currently seeking a Pilot National Sales Manager to fill an essential role within our growing organization.  This is a full-time, W-2, outside sales position of which reports directly to our Vice President of Sales. The National Sales Manager (NSM) will frequently travel nationally to ensure success with filling this role. The NSM will focus on building trust and providing support to current and potential customers, ensuring potential future sales. This role will also Champion the company by focusing, organizing, and managing sales efforts to build the Pilot Stair Lift product demand through the development of effective relationships and bringing value to every sale encounter. This role is responsible for increasing the sales of our Pilot product and advancing the company’s vision, culture, and values.

Candidates should have a minimum of three (3) years experience with home accessibility product and installation. Candidates must be able to understand the technical/mechanical principles of the product, as well as be able to perform installations and troubleshoot challenges, which are very important fundamentals of this role.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES / COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Collaborate with Pilot Team and work to promote continuous improvement of the Pilot product.
  • Coordinate with Regional Sales Directors to establish Pilot’s annual and monthly sales objectives for Territory Sales Manager and independent sales representatives.
  • Travel with each Regional Sales Director, Territory Sales Manager, and independent reps on a quarterly basis to observe, train and coach.
  • Work Nationally to develop customer knowledge of Pilot accessibility, targeting key accounts, developing opportunities, and exceeding sales goals.
  • Plan, schedule and conduct training for Territory Sales Managers and Independent reps.
  • Weekly reporting with senior leadership to evaluate and provide feedback on sales activities.
  • Keep current on new product information and the development of new products.
  • Keep current on industry standards and trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies.
  • Keep abreast of state and/or federal regulations as they relate to accessibility installation requirements.
  • Regularly and consistently maintain relationships with Pilot key accounts: Dealers, Distributors and wholesalers through phone and e-mail.
  • Frequent national business travel
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills are needed.
  • Strong negotiating skills and capacity.
  • Proficiencies needed with MS Office applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.)
  • Overall technical proficiencies and savviness is needed to efficiently work from any remote locations and/or while traveling.
  • Dedicated team player and collaborator with the willingness and ability to work independently.
  • Must have very good working knowledge with technical, mechanical, and/or electrical concepts and terminology.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications is necessary (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills and must be able to collaborate with professional and friendly mannerisms.
  • Must have the ability to comprehend and adapt to customer and team member behaviors and can professionally and respectfully address challenges if they arise.
  • Maintain team focus and have the ability to lead, motivate, train, and mentor.
  • Solid organizational and excellent time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Must speak, read, and write English and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must have a valid US Driver’s License in good standing and must maintain throughout employment.
