Job description
Peñate Medical Centers is seeking a Medical Center Administrator to plan, manage and monitor day-to-day operations along with providing hands-on administrative/clinical activities for the physician practice. The Medical Center Administrator possesses a clear understanding of the financial, operational, administrative and regulatory aspects of the practice while ensuring compliance and Risk Management at the facility level. Being able to establish and maintain an effective, efficient, and safe operating environment that coincide with patient, physician, and staff needs is highly desirable.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports directly to COO
Responsibilities:
- Oversees and supports day to day office activities and operations. Manage operations to maximize patient experience and customer service.
- Develops relationships with Doctors and clinical staff, proactively addresses needs in anticipation.
- Participates in the planning and development of activities within the Center. Assigns and prioritizes staff members' duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations
- Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance and foster professional development
- Manage facilities planning and maintenance activities, including housekeeping to meet practices current and future needs
- Develop and maintain effective staffing strategy
- Provides leadership, guidance, and professional development to personnel in order to support daily operations.
- Oversee patient satisfaction monitoring and establish and facilitate plan to provide exceptional quality care with superior patient satisfaction
- Demonstrates creativity and flexibility in the top quality operations of the clinical care center, interactions and communications amongst doctors, patients, vendors and employees while maintaining upmost confidentially and respect for all.
- Implements and exercises consistent fiscally responsible decision making skills.
- Constantly assess patient flow, wait times and schedules. Take action to resolve delays and maximize patient comfort.
- Assist in compiling information for Regulatory Agency audits.
- Monitor and maintains inventory of all office/medical supplies demonstrating cost-effective use of supplies and equipment.
- Complies with Medical Records documentation Policies and Procedures, quality initiative and electronic medical record system (EHR).
- Adheres to and supports the values, policies and procedures of Clinical Care Network, Inc.
- Responsible for acting and reporting feedback regarding utilization and risk assessment policies in accordance with Compliance, Risk Management and OSHA/DOH Programs.
- Other duties as assigned
- Required Qualifications:
- Associates degree Preferred or a minimum of 4 years management experience within a medical practice
- Must have experience with the Medicare and Medicaid population
- Excellent communication and customer service skills a must
- Solid Proficiency of Microsoft Office and medical-related software. MDFlow is Preferred.
- Problem solving and decision-making skills are required
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)Job Type: Full-time
