Production Manager - $110k - Direct Hire

Aegis has partnered with a manufacturing facility in the Lexington Area that is looking to add a skilled and experienced production professional to its team. This position is open to due an internal promotion. The ideal candidate for this role will come from a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have experience making decisions that effect production directly. Candidates from industries related to automotive, food production, pharmaceutical, and packaging would make for a perfect fit.

Responsibilities

• Manage and evaluate the entire production process, make changes to planning as necessary
• Responsible for skills development and cross-training of production supervisors, operators (one-step, two-step, and injection), and technicians in order to increase the knowledge base and flexibility within the production function.
• Communicate with the Operations Manager to keep aware of issues taking place in the production area.
• Coordinates and directs the activities of shift production supervisors to develop and promote maximum operating effectiveness across all shifts.
• Mentorship of production supervisors as well as hourly production members
• Contribute to production planning and budgeting
• Lead and monitor quality assessments to ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintain a safe production environment
• Ensure that all safety programs and procedures are being followed and implemented in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with key internal and external production stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of production leadership experience
• Strong organizational and managerial skills
• Day to Day operational experience
