Business Development Manager

Job Summary: The purpose of the Business Development Manager (BDM) is to establish and maintain senior-level relationships with current All Star members and prospective members. In addition, the BDM is responsible for identifying and implementing savings opportunities with current members and onboarding new members, contributing to the overall growth and strategy of All Star Purchasing.
General Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Collaborates with member companies to analyze spend data to identify savings opportunities and manages projects that drive return for member companies.
- Manages day to day business with members, suppliers, and internal team members, maintaining a high level of service.
- Prospects and networks with, recruit, and onboard new member companies.
- Collaborates with All Star purchasing team on various strategies to expand the existing business and increase return to member companies.
- Develops and delivers communication to existing members and prospects.
- Review performance against goals and prepare/provide updates to senior leadership.
- Documents activity in customer relationship management (CRM) tool.
Other: Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in a business-related field or active work toward a degree is required.
Certifications and Training: A Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is preferred. Proficiency in the use of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application is required.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or territory management/business development, purchasing, supply chain management, or a related business role is required.
Physical Requirements
This position is required to sit for extended periods, standing and walking for extended periods, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, and operating a vehicle.
Sensory Requirements
This position requires hearing, speaking, talking, and seeing.
Working Condition
This position works in a typical office environment.
Tools, Equipment, and Vehicle Use
This position requires using a vehicle, standard office equipment, and specialized programs.
Availability and Travel
This position must be available for normal business hours, nights, and weekends, respond to calls in emergencies at any time, and be able to travel for multiple days at a time.
