Join our dynamic team as we seek a skilled Cost Accountant with exceptional analytical skills and a knack for problem-solving. Positioned at the heart of our financial strategies, this role is pivotal in implementing cost controls and driving profitability through meticulous analysis and collaboration with the Operations team.

As a Cost Accountant, you will:

Financial Collaboration: Work closely with plant managers to enhance financial efficiency and support growth initiatives.
ERP Enhancement: Develop new reporting tools to improve management oversight and enhance our ERP utilization in partnership with the Operations team.
Costing Processes: Collaborate with the Purchasing department to streamline processes and minimize purchase price variances.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial performance analysis to compare actual results against plans and forecasts.
Rate Review: Establish and review labor and overhead rates, analyzing variances to make informed adjustments.
Innovation in Reporting: Create and manage KPIs, dashboards, and cross-functional projects to optimize manufacturing accounting practices.
Inventory Oversight: Lead inventory analysis, support counting processes, and strategize to reduce variances.
Process Leadership: Spearhead monthly manufacturing processes and facilitate annual cost roll activities.
Special Projects: Undertake special projects to enhance financial and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CPAMBA certification or progression towards it is highly regarded.
Experience: At least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Skills: Proficiency in manufacturing accounting, standard costing, and strong managerial presence.
Characteristics: High energy, proactive style, and recognized for your ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Communication: Excellent planning, organization, and cross-team collaboration skills.
