Financial Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Develops, maintains, and reports out of the Hospital's Research accounting system.
• Develops, maintains, and reports financial analytics for key service lines using various sources and software.
• Assists in budget process for assigned areas of responsibility.
• Creates worksheets, identifies data sources and gathers information from and for departments.
• Analyzes data, identifies variances, and provides reports for management review.  Meets timeframes for producing monthly and annual financial reports for assigned areas.
• Maintains reports generated for historical and budget comparisons, trending, and analysis.
• Develops new or revised reports using Meditech report writer, Excel and/or SQL database to provide management with the information necessary to support organizational growth and development.
• Is responsible for drafting and executing Professional Service Addendums for principal investigators.
• Serves as Medicare Coverage Analyst to develop timely and accurate Medicare Coverage Analyses (MCA)
• Utilizes MCA billing grid and CDM to develop budgets for all items and services provided by the Hospital for clinical research projects.
• Coordinates the negotiation and execution of study agreements and Principal Investigator Serie Agreements with legal counsel and external sponsors of research trials to ensures that the Hospital is indemnified and all legal language is in alignment with policies and procedures
