Job Description

Mount Indie Is in search of a seasoned and innovative Senior UX/UI Designer to join our vibrant team. We're on the lookout for a candidate who deeply grasps Human-Centered Design principles and has a track record of delivering user-centric solutions. As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you'll be instrumental in crafting cutting-edge and user-friendly experiences for our products, collaborating closely with customers and development teams.


Responsibilities:

  1. User-Centric Design: Apply Human-Centered Design methodologies to comprehend user needs, pain points, and behaviors. Translate insights into user flows, low-fidelity wireframes, and high-fidelity mock-ups.
  2. Customer Collaboration: Engage closely with customers to glean insights, feedback, and requirements. Transform these insights into design solutions that align with both user expectations and business objectives.
  3. Technical Feasibility: Collaborate with development teams to ensure the feasibility of proposed designs. Bridge the gap between design and development, fostering a collaborative environment for creating innovative and practical products.
  4. Prototyping and Validation: Iteratively prototype and validate design concepts through usability testing and feedback loops. Utilize tools like Figma or Adobe XD to create interactive prototypes that effectively convey design intent.
  5. Design System Development: Establish and maintain a comprehensive design system to ensure consistency and coherence across our products. Contribute to the evolution of the design system as product and user needs evolve.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to ensure alignment between design and business objectives. Advocate for user experience excellence throughout the product development lifecycle.


Required Qualifications:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in UX design, with a portfolio showcasing successful projects and a strong grasp of Human-Centered Design principles.
  2. Clearance: U.S. Citizenship/Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.
  3. Tools: Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent, with the ability to create both low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity mock-ups.
  4. Collaboration Skills: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with customers, development teams, and stakeholders. Strong communication skills to articulate design rationale and gather feedback.
  5. Innovative Thinking: Passion for pushing design boundaries and creating innovative products. Ability to balance creativity with practical considerations for technical feasibility.
  6. Design System Experience: Experience in developing and maintaining design systems to ensure a consistent and scalable user experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  4. Visual Design:A keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail in creating visually appealing interfaces, including a solid understanding of color theory, typography, and iconography.
  5. Mobile and Responsive Design:Experience designing for various screen sizes and platforms, with an understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first approaches.
  6. Prototyping Ability:Familiarity with prototyping tools and experience creating wireframes, low or high-fidelity prototypes, mockups, or user flows.
  7. Accessibility:Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and experience designing inclusive interfaces that cater to users with diverse needs and abilities.
  8. Collaboration Tools:Proficient in using collaboration and project management tools such as Slack, Jira, or Trello to streamline communication and workflow.
  9. User Persona Development:Ability to create and utilize user personas to guide design decisions and ensure alignment with target audience needs.
  10. Agile/Scrum Methodologies:Understanding of Agile development processes and experience working in a collaborative, iterative environment.
  11. Continuous Learning:Demonstrate a commitment to staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices.
