Regional/OTR Drivers Needed

$30.00 an hour

1st Shift Dispatch times start between 2am-5am – This shift typically has 1-3 layovers a week (Scheduled/set day off is Sunday and one additional day during the week)

2nd/3rd Shift Dispatch times start Between 2pm- Midnight – This shift typically has 2-3 layovers a week (Scheduled/set day off is Thursday and most Friday's – Shift resumes every Saturday at 12am)

Essential Job Functions:

These functions are essential for the successful operation of a Regional and OTR Semi Driver, and they require a combination of driving skills, attention to detail, and professionalism.

Driving: The primary function is operating the semi-truck safely and efficiently over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations

Loading and Unloading: In some cases, drivers may be responsible for loading and unloading, ensuring product is properly secured for transport (most of our loads are no touch freight).

Route Planning: Planning the most efficient route to the destination, considering factors such as traffic, weather conditions, and road closures using Trucker’s path.

Vehicle Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance checks on the truck, including inspecting brakes, tires, lights, and fluids, and reporting any issues to management staff.

Documentation: Keeping accurate records of driving hours and miles traveled (via electronic logs using Samsara), fuel purchases, and any other necessary paperwork required by the company and regulatory agencies.

Communication: Maintaining communication with management, via phone, or electronic messaging to provide updates on delivery status and any issues encountered on the road.

Customer Service: Interacting with customers and vendors in a professional manner, handling and resolving any issues that may arise during deliveries.

Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations governing the transportation of goods, including but not limited to hours-of-service regulations, weight limits, etc.

Safety: Prioritizing safety at all times, including following proper procedures for securing cargo, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and adhering to company safety policies.

Adaptability: Being adaptable to changing schedules, routes, and weather conditions, and being able to make quick decisions to ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining safety standards.

Experience/ Qualifications required:

• A valid CDL with appropriate endorsements.
• Clean driving record – no major traffic or accident violations.
• Drivers must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) physical requirements.
• 6 months OTR experience.
• Basic knowledge of truck maintenance and troubleshooting skills to address minor issues that may arise during trips, such as minor repairs.
• Time Management.
• Candidates must pass drug and alcohol screening tests as required by DOT regulations and company policies.

• In addition to base pay, drivers will receive a $50 stipend for each layover incurred and a daily per diem of $25 to cover food expenses while on duty.
