Job Description
Salary: $160k-$180k DOE

Job Title: Chief Financial Officer


Airtech, LLC, a Cincinnati based MRO is seeking a Full-Time Chief Financial Officer. The CFO is primarily responsible for maintaining the strong financial position of our enterprise and advising the leadership team of financial strategies to meet company goals. You’ll have the opportunity to positively impact an exciting and growing company. You will be accountable for managing the organization’s varied companies and subsidiaries, lines of business, and key stakeholder relationships to ensure all financial objectives, plans, initiatives, and activities are aligned to meet and adapt to the goals of the organization in a continually evolving Aviation MRO market. You will have a critical role in the execution of key business initiatives. CFO reports directly to the President.


Job Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Management and maintenance of the company’s financials, including all aspects of financial accounting, internal audit, financial reporting
  • Must be adept in financial modeling with the ability to provide direction and options to President from a financial perspective in all areas of operation
  • Provide strategic vision and improvement of the agency’s accounting policies and procedures to streamline accounting operations to improve overall efficiency
  • Developing both long- and short-term strategies to manage the complexities of the business within an appropriate level of financial risk
  • Providing trusted subject matter expertise as a partner to the leadership team and strategic guidance to business leaders at varying levels
  • Analyzing financial plans, reports, and projections at all levels of the enterprise and directing the preparation of all financial reporting
  • Cultivating a culture that rewards and recognizes success and encourages curiosity, entrepreneurial spirit, and continuous improvement
  • Developing competent, productive, successful processes in the Accounting, Payroll, Operations and Finance functions
  • Be responsible for developing and maintaining a strategic financial plan, annual operating and capital budgets
  • Lead and manage the monthly closing process
  • Foster an environment of candor and collaboration that addresses deficiencies and provide coaching/mentoring to ensure the highest levels of individual and team performance when needed throughout the operation
  • Analysis of monthly operating costs and results to improve efficiencies and support local management’s efforts to increase profitability
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, financial or benefits reporting, and internal control systems
  • Preparation and analysis of the monthly statements: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and required schedules
  • Management and execution of all payroll, benefits and insurance related functions
  • Management of daily accounting functions: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Receipts, Collections, Sales Tax Reporting and Corporate Treasury to support banking relationships
  • Provides leadership in the development of Strategic Plan with the continuous evaluation of short and long-term financial objectives
  • Leads the development of Budget. Identifies monthly variances to budget and makes recommendations to address variances
  • Provides profitability/pricing analysis support needed to achieve growth and profitability targets. Participates as needed in contract review process
  • Evaluates and advises on impact of long-range planning trends, forecast, and strategy.
  • Has ownership of and works with the President on monthly sales forecast, monthly financial forecast, and business performance issues
  • Supports President and provides leadership as part of the key Executive Team
  • Ensure GAAP compliance
  • Assure the quality and timeliness of the financial reports
  • Analyze monthly results and report to senior management
  • Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the aforementioned

 

What It Takes:


We need a seasoned, successful, yet humble leader with business experience, financial acumen, and a strong work ethic. This person must thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional, collaborative team environment. Our company is located in Cincinnati, OH. Ideally, we would have a CFO who lives close to HQ or can easily visit as needed. Open to remote.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7+ years of accounting and finance experience with prior CFO (or similar role) experience
  • Prefer CPA but active license is not required
  • Prior exposure to Aviation and MRO inventory procedures and analysis is highly preferred
  • Individual must be detail oriented, highly organized, have the ability to prioritize/manage multiple tasks and communicate observations regarding financial operating performance
  • Must be “Hands On” – Willing to make journal entries and cover for staff as necessary
  • Ability to maintain flexible work hours, including evening and weekend work and occasional travel
  • Experience with computerized general ledger systems
  • Expert proficiency in Excel (including Macros), Word, Outlook, and Office Suite

  • Competitive compensation (base range of $160k-$180k DOE)
