Licensed Professional Counselor LPC

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilize specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in the areas of clinical counseling, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning
• Develop a therapeutic relationship with each client. Provides individual, group or family therapy as needed.
• Available for clinical consultation
• Maintains ongoing frequent contact with other assigned professionals, parents or outside agency professionals assigned to case.
• Provide case management (CPST or TBS), if needed
• Assume a strong advocacy role for clients and makes recommendations for clinical and support services needed upon discharge
• Actively participates in all treatment conferences and meetings for the clients
• Complete all paperwork required by the agency within designated time frames
• Provides education and resources for patients and family members
• May clinically supervise an intern or clinically supervises Qualified Mental Health Specialist as needed
• Participates in continuing professional education, departmental meetings and teaching
• Required one to two hours of unpaid supervision and/or clinical team meeting
• Maintain supervision log for supervise and/or POD members as required by the agency, and state licensure requirements
• Continued education to meet licensure requirements
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS

• Minimum educational level is a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling work with an Ohio LPC
• A Master’s degree, clinical experience LPCC
• Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and Insurance
