Job Description

We are seeking an Distribution Sourcing Assistant to join our team! You will partner with an account manager to primarily help in sourcing customer requests for quotes, but also will aid in a variety of tasks to help ensure the customer's needs are met.

Responsibilities:

Assist an Account Manager to process customer requests for quotes (RFQs)
Assist in sourcing for items and submitting RFQs to vendors to get pricing and lead times
Assist in putting together quotes to send to customers
Assist in processing customer purchase orders, sales orders, and vendor purchases orders
Follow up with Vendors for delivery ETAs and order statuses when required
Review customer order status reports of your assigned customers to ensure their orders are on track
Assist in issue resolution with customers and vendors as needed

Qualifications:

Prior experience in a buying or sourcing related role
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to work autonomously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Prior experiencing in a distribution business is a plus
