Certified Wound Care

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care NP to join our healthcare team. As a Wound Care , you will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients with wounds, ensuring their comfort, promoting healing, and preventing complications. Your expertise in wound management and treatment will play a crucial role in improving patient outcomes and quality of life.

Responsibilities:

- Assessing and evaluating patients' wounds to determine the appropriate treatment plan

- Cleaning and dressing wounds using aseptic technique

- Monitoring and documenting wound healing progress

- Administering medications as prescribed for pain management and infection prevention

- Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop comprehensive care plans

- Educating patients and their families on wound care techniques and prevention strategies

- Assisting with procedures such as gastric lavage or dialysis as needed

- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records

Qualifications:

- Valid nursing license in Nevada.

- Proven experience as a Wound Care or similar role

- In-depth knowledge of wound care principles, techniques, and products

- Proficiency in performing wound assessments and implementing appropriate interventions

- Familiarity with anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology related to wound healing

- Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic technique

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members

- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work independently or as part of a team

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
