Child Care Teachers

We are looking to hire in a few positions. 1. Preschool/School-age: This is a split position, working two days in a Preschool classroom and two days in a School-age classroom (before and after school care). This position is full time (4-10 hour days, 1 set day off). 2. Toddlers: This is a full time position (4-10 hour days, 1 set day off). 3. Floater/Breaker: This is a full time position (4-10 hour days, 1 set day off). This position spends some time in the infant room and school-age room.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Actively participating with other members of the teaching team in the implementation of curriculum, parent communication, and quality interactions with children.

· Performing assessments, documentation, anecdotal records, and daily sheets (when applicable)

· Supervising and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all center standards

· Directly communicating with parents to promote success of each child

· Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean classroom

· Working with all staff to promote a spirit of community

· Demonstrating love for God and love for all children

· Ability to meet or exceed state requirements with Step Up To Quality

We are most interested in applicants with the following:

· Passion for the care and education of children

· Previous child care experience (preferred)

· Evidence of Christian maturity demonstrated in attitude, action, and speech

Physical Qualifications:

· Able to hear and respond verbally to children and adults

· Able to lift children weighing 10-50 lbs

· Consistently work scheduled hours

· Work in a fast pace setting

· Crouch to a child's height and maintain eye contact at a child's level

A substitute is responsible for the care and education of a group of children under the direction of a teaching team. A minimum of high school degree required for substituting. A minimum of associate's degree is preferred for all teaching positions.
