Pay Range: $16.18 - $30.75 hourly (USD)

Job Description:

Client , is seeking a qualified Clinical Laboratory Technician to join our team in Jamaica, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Chemistry Clinical Laboratory Technologist.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform clinical laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of a licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist or laboratory manager.
2. Conduct chemical analyses of body fluids, such as blood and urine, using various laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
3. Prepare specimens for analysis, including labeling, centrifugation, and aliquoting.
4. Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning through routine maintenance and calibration.
5. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
6. Document all test results accurately and maintain detailed records of laboratory procedures and findings.
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide accurate diagnostic information.
8. Participate in quality assurance activities, including proficiency testing and internal audits, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
2. Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) or equivalent licensure required.
3. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Chemistry Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
4. Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including sample preparation, analysis, and data interpretation.
5. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory requirements, including CLIA and OSHA guidelines.
