Job Description
The Marketing & Community Relations Project Manager provides project management, advertisement and marketing, communications and community outreach expertise to support the Center's efforts to promote healthcare solutions throughout the State of Connecticut, primarily the regional areas that we serve. This position requires exceptional communication, data analysis, strategic planning, content development and digital marketing concept skills as well as very strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritize well. Working knowledge of project management principles and strong mathematical abilities are critical. Experience within and knowledge of the public healthcare field is preferred.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Produce and coordinate the production of all forms marketing and advertisement content to showcase facility locations, services and programs available to our clientele; inclusive of digital marketing (social media, website, google) and multimedia advertising including print and videography.
  • Manages marketing/advertisement, communications and community relations projects to successful conclusions; including efficient event planning. Fund raising projects as needed.
  • Maintain a detailed advertisement schedule.
  • Manage all vendor and consultant contracts and ensure monitoring of timely invoicing and payments. Coordinate scopes of service with monthly reporting to Dept. Director.
  • Support the health center’s website development and search engine optimization (SEO) goals
  • Contributes to the development and execution of the annual Marketing Plan resulting in measurably improved, favorable name recognition and increased utilization by targeted populations
  • Actively manage the health center’s social media accounts and website development with the goal of increasing usage and engagement in online channels
  • Engage in special projects and promotions to support the health center’s mission
  • Research and coordinate the written copy for website, articles, press releases, annual reports, electronic newsletters, success stories, fact sheets, brochures, presentations, proposals and other informational or promotional efforts.
  • Lead communications projects (primarily provider mailings, mass emails and regular updating of community contact lists)
  • Proofread and approve content supplied by internal marketing department staff and other departments
  • Assists the Department Director, representing the company within the community to create awareness, foster key relationships while providing support to the communities we serve with a goal to increase utilization of services
  • Stay current with marketing trends and technology familiarity with a variety of marketing, community outreach, industry software, practices, and procedures.
  • Leads and directs the work of others; teambuilding.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field required.
  • Project Management Certification a plus.
    Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a combination of marketing, communications, development, public relations is preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years in digital marketing and website content management.
  • Must have a demonstrated understanding of industry terminology.
  • Knowledge of project management practices, effective communication techniques and marketing.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to create content for written and digital environments, deliver and execute effective project plans, and achieve positive outcomes is required.
  • A strong working knowledge of social marketing and networking is also required.
  • Experience in relationship building, community and government relations are essential.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Knowledge of grants and proposals, development and fundraising preferred.
  • The qualified candidate relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
