Senior Estimator

Position can be remote work from home.

What you will be doing:

• Estimate Preparation: Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work. Incorporate historical data from purchase orders and subcontract agreements into estimates.
• Risk and Cost Analysis: Provide technical input on project and contract risks. Ensure the final estimate aligns with the project's schedule and cost objectives.
• Client and Vendor Consultation: Engage with clients, vendors, and team members to discuss and formulate estimates. Address issues and contribute to project strategies and decisions.
• Project Hand-off: Partner with the estimating team to facilitate smooth transitions from the pursuit team to project management.
• Vendor and Subcontractor Selection: Research and recommend vendors and subcontractors that align with project goals and budget.

What we are looking for:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in construction estimating or cost control, with a preference for experience in alternative construction delivery methods.
• Certifications: Relevant company or regulatory certifications, including company safety certifications.
• Skills: Proficiency in HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software, strong communication and technical writing abilities, and excellent time management.
