Maintenance Technician- 3rd Shift

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for safely maintaining all converting and building equipment to minimize downtime.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including practicing safe work habits, maintaining organization, safe food defense and good manufacturing practices.
- Practice safe work habits at all times.
- Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Complete daily and weekly equipment clean-ups. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
- Demonstrate ability to parallel all rolls, make all required settings and adjustments for optimum equipment performance to manufacture quality products.
- Demonstrate ability to teach others in all qualification requirements and proper maintenance procedures.
- Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot programmable controllers and troubleshoot and repair all A/C and D/C drives and motors, along with control systems.
- Demonstrate ability to use all aspects of the maintenance software program.
- Demonstrate ability to plan and schedule maintenance work, assign work to other employees according to their abilities and limitations.
- Follow up all work in order to ensure repairs and work are performed safely and properly.
- Maximize the utilization of equipment by maintaining the machinery to run at available capacity and speed.
- Complete all paperwork neatly, correctly, and in accordance with company guidelines.
- Help maintain good housekeeping in work areas.
- Willingly work all necessary hours and shifts.
- The Maintenance Technician is backed up by other Maintenance Technicians.
- Additional duties may be assigned by management.

Qualifications:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships with staff and partners.
- Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Ability to successfully work to reach company goals in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required of this position.
- Provide own tools necessary to perform maintenance tasks.
Education/ Experience:
High school diploma or GED. Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:
- Prior work experience in the corrugated industry.
- At least 5 years experience as a Maintenance Technician
Technical Skills:
The individual must have a working knowledge of the following:
- Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
- Product layouts and production specifications
- Product quality specifications
- Quality standards
