Maintenance Technician- 3rd Shift

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for safely maintaining all converting and building equipment to minimize downtime.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including practicing safe work habits, maintaining organization, safe food defense and good manufacturing practices.
• Practice safe work habits at all times.
• Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Complete daily and weekly equipment clean-ups. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
• Demonstrate ability to parallel all rolls, make all required settings and adjustments for optimum equipment performance to manufacture quality products.
• Demonstrate ability to teach others in all qualification requirements and proper maintenance procedures.
• Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot programmable controllers and troubleshoot and repair all A/C and D/C drives and motors, along with control systems.
• Demonstrate ability to use all aspects of the maintenance software program.
• Demonstrate ability to plan and schedule maintenance work, assign work to other employees according to their abilities and limitations.
• Follow up all work in order to ensure repairs and work are performed safely and properly.
• Maximize the utilization of equipment by maintaining the machinery to run at available capacity and speed.
• Complete all paperwork neatly, correctly, and in accordance with company guidelines.
• Help maintain good housekeeping in work areas.
• Willingly work all necessary hours and shifts.
• The Maintenance Technician is backed up by other Maintenance Technicians.
• Additional duties may be assigned by management.

• Provide own tools necessary to perform maintenance tasks.

Education/ Experience:

High school diploma or GED. Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:

• Prior work experience in the corrugated industry.
• At least 5 years experience as a Maintenance Technician

The individual must have a working knowledge of the following:

• Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
• Product layouts and production specifications
• Product quality specifications
• Quality standards
