Eye Designs Group, established in 1990, is the premier resource for planning, designing, and producing successful optical retail environments.  Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Collegeville, PA. fabricates retail displays and cabinetry to enhance our designs.  We offer comprehensive Interior Design Services and specialized lighting solutions for our clients.  

About the Job

We currently have a great opportunity for a Space Planner/Jr. Designer to join our team in our Collegeville, PA facility.

This position will be responsible to collaborate with Sales and other members of the Design Team to provide preliminary space plans for client review/approval.  Opportunities to grow and learn within the company.

Space Planner Responsibilities:

• Create shells, 2D and 3D drawings based on client program requirements.
• Create efficient floor plans to optimize patient flow.
• Support the organization and help maintain the Design library.
• Follow Design Department standards for AutoCAD drawings.
• Participate in meetings with Design Reps, as needed.
• Assistance with architectural documentation, as needed.
• Additional responsibilities available based on experience.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Associates Degree in Interior Design; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One (1) or more years of space planning experience.
• One (1) or more years of experience using AutoCAD software to create architectural documentation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficient in AutoCAD; AutoCAD Architectural preferred
• Basic knowledge of space planning principals and techniques.
• Ability to work effectively as a part of a team and individually.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
