Certified Public Accountant

Schain and Company, a medium-sized, well-established New Paltz firm, with over 40 years of tax and accounting experience, is searching for an experienced CPA to add to our team. This is a Senior Accountant position geared toward advancement, with the goal of eventual assumption of an equity position in the practice. It is a unique opportunity for a CPA looking to move into a leadership role, or a current executive partner interested in taking the helm of a sole proprietorship.

While the role will likely call for on-site work in the beginning, working remotely, at least part-time (and possibly more) will be an option in the future. Requirements:
Current CPA licensure
Minimum of 5 years of personal and corporate tax and accounting experience
Minimum of a BA in Accounting; Masters in Taxation a plus
Familiarity with federal and state tax laws
Proficiency (or at least familiarity) with Thomson Reuters Creative Solutions suite, especially UltraTax
Proficiency with QuickBooks
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Experience with Trusts, Estates, and Non-Profits a plus
Energetic, flexible, collaborative, with great attention to detail and a strong work ethic
