Location: Remote (Washington, DC)


The IAM Architect will be responsible for performing the necessary leadership, facilitation, planning, analysis and design tasks related to the development of an overall identity management and cybersecurity architecture.  The IAM Architect will partner and work closely with key strategic vendors, service providers as well as IT stakeholders to plan, design &/or challenge the security of the IT architecture approaches that support cross-functional business needs and align with longer term best practice standards and viable technology roadmaps.  


As a IAM Architect, You Will:


  • Provide advanced architecture and engineering support to automate and administrator identity and compliance requirements into all enterprise information systems.
  • Drive planning and execution of identity management roadmaps and technology enhancements.
  • Create and maintain standards surrounding documentation related to identity processes, procedure, and infrastructure. 
  • Assess current applications and architecture to ensure current implementations align with industry guidelines, best practices, and management approved standards.
  • Architect plan for implementing management's directives in most secure manners with least disruption. 
  • Assist various IT departments with design, implementation and troubleshooting of security technologies.  Provide security guidance and requirements to technology teams when no solution is currently available .

 

To Be Successful, You Need:

 

  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, Business, Math, or equivalent related experience gained through hands on implementation and/or certifications in the listed disciplines with an emphasis in information technology
  • At least 5 years of dedicated identity administration and governance experience including role-based access control, access request and certification
  • At least 5 years of technical architecture experience to include integrating identity management, access management and access governance software into client infrastructure and applications  
  • At least 5 years designing and implementing identity solutions in a hybrid cloud and on prem environment for employees and customers
  • 3 years minimum in a client environment with installation, integration, and deployment of SailPoint, Microsoft, Okta, CyberArk, Ping, and some experience with other identity Lifecycle management products such as FIM, MIM, Azure AD connect/Microsoft Entra Connect
  • Identity Management familiarity with one or more of the following:   
    • Single Sign On 
    • Identity Federation 
  • Enterprise Directory Architecture and Design including directory schema, namespace, and replication topology experience 
  • Advanced knowledge of identity technologies and concepts.
  • Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Single-Sign On (SSO), and Federated Identities.
  • Advance knowledge of privilege management, shared secrets protection, and implementation experience.
  • Proven knowledge of security (CISSP, CISA, CISM, GPEN, GWAPT, GCIH, other GIAC certifications, OSCP, CEH, etc.)
  • Proven knowledge of identity frameworks and the deployment of various identity models within an enterprise setting.
  • Enhances security team accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teaching improved processes; mentoring team members.
  • Plans security systems by evaluating identity technologies; developing requirements for identity governance, automated administration, automated user certification, interactive and noninteractive password changes/rotation, bring-your-own-identity (BYOI), identity proofing; adhering to industry standards.
  • Prepares system security reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
