Sanitor

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reports to the Sanitation Supervisor and is responsible for completing all duties and tasks assigned to them before their work shift ends. The purpose of the Sanitor is to aid in the breakdown, cleaning/disinfecting, and reassembly of the food production equipment to ensure all food safety standards are being maintained. This position works a non-traditional work schedule where weekends are part of the expected work week.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

1. Obey GMP’s and PPE’s for production areas.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Use water, chemicals, and sanitizer to clean and sanitize equipment and production rooms daily
2. Detailed sanitation and up-keep of the facility along with ensuring that all processing equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized to establish standards to process food products
3. Sweep and squeegee floors
4. Disassemble and assemble equipment
5. Clean equipment and machinery
6. Identify and report food safety and food quality issues
7. Follow all OSHA safety guidelines required by company
8. Comply with GMP and Food safety guidelines
9. Perform all other tasks as requested by plant/floor supervision
10. Work within a cold and wet environment and wear specified company provided protective gear at all times
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
