Idaho Asphalt Supply, Inc. is a leading asphalt supplier and marketer in the Western US. With plants in Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Oregon, California, and Arizona, IAS supplies a diverse product line of asphalts, polymer-modified asphalt, and asphalt emulsions to the road maintenance and construction industry. IAS is looking for an energized and flexible self-starter to fill a full-time opening for a Project Manager at our Coeur d’Alene, ID office.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Transformation, the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of entire projects from start to finish through budgeting, identifying the proper team members, sourcing third-party vendors, and planning the project implementation. Duties include setting deadlines, providing feedback, and communicating with members and stakeholders about the status of the projects. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good decision-making in a variety of situations, with strong organizational and people relationship skills, and the ability to manage various work streams at the same time. The Project Manager must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and an effective communicator.

Job Responsibilities:

·        Coordinate project activities and events supporting the executive team and the CEO and drive them from initiation to completion.

·        Develop a plan of action to get a project completed, working across departments to ensure their needs and wants are included within the confines of the project and establish budget requirements.

·        Lead a cross-functional team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency, managing status, issues, risks, transitions to next phase, and project financials.

·        Conduct risk assessments; report identified risks to Project Management Officer; provide recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).

·        Manage project planning and coordination during merger and acquisition activities.

·        Lead project design meetings and propose improvements if necessary.

·        Identify and evaluate potential problems and technical hitches and develop solutions.

·        Manage deadlines and push the team to ensure completeness.

·        Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed.

·        Provide feedback, advice, project updates and encouragement to team members.

·        Manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored.

·        Develop and execute communication plans as well as create documentation and training materials.

·        Conduct cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.

·        Host project meetings with team and managers.

·        Coordinate all design matters relating to projects, helping to ensure that the multi-functional teams building the project work together smoothly, and ensure that timelines are met, and projects are delivered on time.

·        Manage project teams and their interdependencies, outlining the tasks involved in the project, delegating accordingly, holding team individuals accountable for their task responsibilities.

·        Address questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.

·        Act as liaison between the company and stakeholders.

·        Communicate and collaborate with all parties involved.

·        Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

·        Bachelor's degree in related field, which may include Business, Management or Engineer Project Manager, required.

·        At least three years of related experience required.

·        PMP, PgMP, CAPM, PMBOK and/or comparable project management certifications are highly desirable.

·        Experience in project management software, such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira or others.

·        Lean and Six Sigma or Kanban experience, preferred.

·        Experience and interest in internal and external communications and partnership development.

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platforms.

·        Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
